Yesterday, Jack and I had a great playmobil day. We first put the pink castle together after we had friends over who tore it apart. He LOVES his Noah's Ark ship. The top comes off and he sets all the animals and their food carefully inside, then I help him gently set the top on and he's ready to dump it out, destroy it, and move onto the next thing.
He is a boy.
Who loves to have his picture taken.
Later that same day, he and Emma played with "Fairytale Land" - they both love that one. There are fairies and unicorns and a real waterfall - really, what more could two kids need?
I love it when they play together. Emma has a fabulous imagination and now, so does Jack. I wonder how confused he was by her going on with her imaginary friends before he understood his own imagination?
One thing I've been meaning to blog because I NEVER want to forget it, is Jack's alter ego.
His name is Gunkey - he talks in this high little voice and acts a little helpless. They played it all summer in the yard last year, Jack in his squeaky voice following Emma wherever she went. They still do it. Jack will say in his high voice, "I'm Gunkey!!" And Emma will laugh and she'll say something like, "Okay Gunkey! This way!" And they'll do all sorts of things together. I get the feeling that he's her servant but he's also relatively helpless, I haven't worked out the details but I don't really need to. Emma and Jack have it all figured out.
