I sigh - I wonder if this is something that she's been secretly planning and will I need to actually invite friends over, and do all that party stuff.
I ask her what she has in mind. She says that she'll do everything.
I'm relieved.
When we get home she asks if we can bake some kind of dessert.
I'm now wracking my brain (the neighbors dog kept me up the night before and the last thing I want to do is bake something)
Emma says to "just never mind" and she wanders upstairs to set up games and write out an invitation.
Dessert? Nutella on a plain piece of bread with sprinkles. It is now the kids favorite dessert. Can I tell you just how easy this was?
So, after writing her list of games and activities, her and Jack came downstairs for their "party dessert" after which they came upstairs to play the games Emma had set out.
That girl, I'm telling you, is one awesome kid.
