(The kids playing on the bed in their new t-shirts after discovering my hiding place)
You know how as a mommy, you go to the bathroom and (not wanting to miss anything) leave the door open?? I know some of you do this. I do not do this anymore. In fact, I now try to sneak out of the room and quietly lock the door to the bathroom hoping they won't see the light escaping at the bottom.
The other day (Mike was here) Jack was creating all sorts of ear-piercing sounds so when he wasn't looking I went into my room and hid under the clean laundry on my bed. It was warm, smelled nice and I was SO, SO tired. He made these mad cries when he realized I had escaped. Daddy was NOT the consolation he wanted. I laid there and listened to him. Most of the time he gives up after a minute or two and starts playing happily by himself. This time his little mad cries turned into these pathetic whimpers as he went from room to room...
How, HOW do they know what mom's can't resist??
So, there's one more hiding spot I won't be able to use anymore...
